Waarom er op dit moment zoveel technische banen in Eindhoven zijn, is een vraag waarvan het antwoord voortkomt uit de opmerkelijke groei van deze stad. <br>Dat is geen toeval. <br>Om te begrijpen waarom er op dit moment in Eindhoven zoveel technische banen zijn, moet je eigenlijk eerst kijken naar de strategische investeringen en het innovatieve ecosysteem van de regio. Eindhoven en de omliggende Brainport-regio vormen samen de snelst groeiende economische regio van Nederland. <br>Dit is tevens een van de belangrijkste technologieclusters van Europa. De regio heeft al jaren op rij de hoogste octrooidichtheid per hoofd van de bevolking ter wereld. Meer dan 5.000 bedrijven en organisaties zijn hier actief in de technologie- en hightechproductiesector. De belangrijkste spelers hierin zijn onder meer ASML, Philips, NXP en VDL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Het zijn niet alleen de grote namen die mensen aannemen.<\/strong> ASML en Philips halen het vaakst de krantenkoppen, maar zij vormen slechts het topje van de ijsberg. Achter elke grote fabrikant in de regio schuilt een lange toeleveringsketen van kleinere, gespecialiseerde bedrijven. Hiertoe behoren onder meer precisie-metaalbewerkers, machinebouwers, kunststof- en draadverwerkingsbedrijven en onderhoudsaannemers. Bovendien hebben ze allemaal behoefte aan technisch personeel met praktische ervaring. Dat Eindhoven op dit moment zoveel technische banen te bieden heeft, hangt dan ook samen met deze diepgaande en diverse infrastructuur van toeleveranciers. Dat is precies het soort vacatures dat EU-People elke week bemiddelt: lassers, machine- en productiemedewerkers, onderhoudstechnici, assemblagemedewerkers. Deze functies halen zelden het nieuws, maar er zijn er veel meer dan er vacatures bij ASML zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Het tekort doet zich bovendien niet alleen in deze regio voor.<\/strong> In heel Nederland hebben werkgevers moeite om technische vacatures in te vullen. In 2025 bleven ongeveer 45% vacatures onvervuld. Bovendien geeft ongeveer twee op de drie bedrijven aan dat ze functies hebben die ze simpelweg niet kunnen bezetten. Volgens de nationale prognoses zal er tegen 2026 behoefte zijn aan ruim 200.000 extra mensen in technische en ingenieursfuncties. Lassers, bedieners van industri\u00eble machines en onderhoudstechnici worden steevast genoemd als de functies die het moeilijkst te vervullen zijn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wat dat betekent als je op zoek bent naar werk:<\/strong> voordeel. Werkgevers in deze regio strijden actief om betrouwbaar technisch personeel, wat doorgaans neerkomt op een behoorlijk startsalaris, de bereidheid om gemotiveerde werknemers op te leiden en een re\u00eble kans op een vast contract als je goed presteert. Het feit dat er momenteel zoveel technische vacatures in Eindhoven zijn, biedt werkzoekenden dan ook echte voordelen.
