Muitas pessoas chegam mesmo a pensar que o nosso pa\u00eds tem dois nomes diferentes. Continua a ler para descobrires por que raz\u00e3o, tecnicamente falando, isso n\u00e3o \u00e9 verdade!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n        <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"editor margin-bottom\">\n        <div class=\"editor-wrap boxed\">\n            <div class=\"autop content padding grey\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um pouco de contexto hist\u00f3rico<\/h3>\n<p>Entre 1588 e 1795, o nome oficial da regi\u00e3o era Rep\u00fablica das Sete Prov\u00edncias Unidas dos Pa\u00edses Baixos. O seu nome deve-se ao facto de o terreno ser, na sua maior parte, plano e situar-se pr\u00f3ximo do n\u00edvel do mar, o que ainda hoje se mant\u00e9m. A palavra holandesa \u201cNederland\u201d significa, literalmente, \u201cterra baixa\u201d. Tendo isso em conta, \u00abNederland\u00bb \u00e9 o \u00fanico nome correto quando se refere ao pa\u00eds como um todo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n        <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"editor primary margin-none\">\n        <div class=\"editor-wrap boxed\">\n            <div class=\"autop content\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E quanto aos Pa\u00edses Baixos?<\/h3>\n<p>A Holanda \u00e9 composta por 12 prov\u00edncias, entre as quais a Holanda do Norte e a Holanda do Sul. Nestas duas prov\u00edncias situam-se as famosas cidades de Amesterd\u00e3o, Roterd\u00e3o e muitas outras. Em conjunto, a Holanda do Norte e a Holanda do Sul s\u00e3o simplesmente designadas por \u201cHolanda\u201d. Portanto, quando se utiliza \u201cHolanda\u201d, est\u00e1-se a referir apenas a uma pequena parte do pa\u00eds.
