Experience needed

The required work experience depends heavily on the job opening. For many of our couple vacancies, you do not need specific experience or education. The most important things are a good work ethic, showing up on time, and the willingness to learn what you do not yet know. The same goes for language: as long as you speak a little English, you can apply for most of our jobs. To ensure that you feel heard and taken care of, you will have a dedicated contact person who can help you as a couple with questions about your jobs and accommodation.

Expected working hours

The number of hours you work depends on the nature of the job. Most of the jobs we offer for couples are full-time, which amounts to 36 or 40 hours per week. These can be regular daytime hours or shift work that pays extra. With many jobs you can also work overtime — some even prefer it! In the Netherlands, you always receive a slightly higher amount for overtime, so if you want to make as much money as possible, overtime is the way to go. We always ensure that you are fully informed of the expected working hours before you sign a contract.

Working without speaking the language

Do you want to work as a couple in the Netherlands but don't speak Dutch? That is no problem at all! Speaking a little English is ideal for communicating with colleagues and others in your daily life in the Netherlands. That is because many Dutch people also speak English. If you are just starting to learn English, you can certainly practice it here! Even if you only speak Polish or another language, it is possible to find work as a couple in the Netherlands.
